Estratégias de busca de informações na Internet para formação de professores

Resumo

As habilidades necessárias para selecionar, avaliar e sintetizar informações de múltiplas fontes na Internet são essenciais para estudantes do ensino superior. Este estudo se concentrou em investigar como os alunos de um programa de formação de professores no Chile abordam problemas que exigem a busca de informações e se há diferenças na sua abordagem na execução dessas tarefas. O Search Performance Index foi utilizado para classificar os participantes em três grupos com base na sua eficácia e eficiência na obtenção de resultados. Por meio de registros informatizados, os grupos foram comparados no processo de busca por respostas. Os dados foram coletados utilizando um software de monitoramento (SurveilStar) e analisados ​​através do SSPS v.21. Os resultados mostram as estratégias mais e menos bem-sucedidas utilizadas pelos alunos na busca de informações. Observou-se que os buscadores mais eficientes focam em um conjunto reduzido de palavras-chave, o que aumenta suas chances de encontrar respostas de forma mais rápida e eficiente e diminui o tempo de digitação. Esta descoberta é consistente com pesquisas anteriores que sugerem que a formulação de consultas mais elaboradas leva a buscas mais bem-sucedidas. Estes resultados têm implicações importantes para o ensino e o desenvolvimento de habilidades de busca de informação em estudantes do ensino superior no Chile.
