Abstract

The article theorizes the relationships between financialization, mediatization and datafication, considered as social syntheses, in Sohn-Rethel (2017) terms. We analyze the role of communication processes in the interplay between circulation of capital and circulation of meanings. Communication, as the organizer of financialization, sediments the meanings of neoliberal rationality and platform capitalism, involved in the circulation of algorithms and data.
