A máscara pós-antiga de Zagreus em Hades (2020)

O presente artigo reflete sobre a máscara pós-antiga como uma abordagem para a experiência lúdica em Hades (2020). Nesse sentido, será abordada a noção do pós-antigo, já esboçada por Clare (2021) e entendida como uma remediação da mitologia e das culturas da Grécia e Roma antigas nos videojogos. Esta perspetiva reflete-se não apenas nos temas tratados, mas também nas referências históricas, literárias e religiosas que estão a ser consideradas como outros modos para estudar a antiguidade, tal como o fazem Vandewalle (2019, 2024) e Rollinger (2021). Tendo isso em conta, a noção da máscara pós-antiga –enquanto vínculo entre avatar e jogador– será revista a partir da remedição do mito de Zagreus em Hades (2020), que será estudada como embodiment e, por sua vez, a partir da figuração do gameworld e da mecânica da repetição.
